News of Embassy of the Russian Federation in MontenegroNews of Embassy About Russian-Montenegro cooperation in the field of biomonitoring of marine ecosystems 22.09.2013 The Alyans group of companies (г.Москва) together with Institute of sea biology (Kotor) and the Atraktor company (Montenegro) held on September 20, 2013 the presentation of methods and technologies of biomonitoring of marine ecosystems. Subject of the presentation were the results of year researches received by means of a biological system of monitoring of quality of the water donated by Alyans Group of companies to Agency on a circumambient of Montenegro. Within a year she was exploited at local Institute of sea biology. After the presentation between Alyans Group of companies which president is professor V.P. Keondzhyan and the Institute of sea biology (IBM) signed the new agreement on donation directed to assistance in start of chemical laboratory in IBM. The Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Montenegro A. A. Nesterenko took part in the held events.
These results are important for decision making on preserving of the largest and most beautiful southern European fiord carried by UNESCO to the list of objects of the World natural heritage. Biological indication of marine organisms is based on the fact proved by biologists that pollution makes negative impact on a functional condition (health) of marine organisms which live in it. Large programs for this subject are implemented in recent years by the countries of the region of the Baltic Sea. Within these programs so-called biomarkers - indicators of a change of state of health of fishes, clams and other marine organisms which are caused by pollution of the environment of their dwelling are developed. A number of these biomarkers is already included in the managements and standard operational procedures of the Directives of the EU for sea strategy intended for achievement of a high quality circumambient in the European seas by 2020 and also for development of national monitoring programs in the countries of the Baltic region. The group of scientists under the leadership of professor S. Holodkevich from the Research center of ecological safety of the Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg) took part in these programs from the Russian Federation. As indicators of pollution of the environment two new biomarkers - a restoring time of a cordial rhythm and a scatter coefficient of this restoring time at group of test organisms after different functional loads on organisms (an abrupt change of salinity, temperature, etc.) are offered to it. In April, 2012 experiments on bioindication of pollution of Boka Kotorsky of the gulf on the basis of these biomarkers were made. As test organisms mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis) collected in places of the gulf with the different level of pollution were used. Researches showed that districts of the port of Biyela and fish shop in Loot are the most contaminated. Results, and also the original installation of the analysis of cordial rhythms at test organisms developed by group of professor S. Holodkevich were shown at the Ecological fair in Budva on April 19-21 of this year. Similar bioelectronic systems and technologies of production biomonitoring are used within more than six years SUE VODOKANAL (St. Petersburg) for control in real time of the general toxicity of water of a source of the centralized drinking water supply on all intake structures of waterworks of St. Petersburg, and since 2010 and Khabarovsk. As test organisms crawfishes are used. |
